Ibrahim Elkholy Side by Side with AbdelFattah AlSisi on Stage
Our hearts were pounding yesterday as we witnessed the great honor of having our very own Ibrahim Elkholy on stage side by side with President Abdel-Fattah Al-Sisi.
Ibrahim’s excellence was nationally recognized recently, for him being the first-ever Research Assistant with down syndrome in Egypt and the Middle East. Upon selecting Ibrahim to be part of our academic tribe, the internet broke over the news and so did the media. And since 2019 is the year of the differently-abled, yesterday, the 24th of December the Ministry of Social Solidarity and the Ministry of Youth and Sports held the event “Able with the differences” to celebrate the International Day of People of Determination.
President Abdel-Fattah Al-Sisi attended the event, giving a speech of how proud he is with the nation that values its people despite their differences. You can have a glimpse of his full speech HERE.
The president handed trophies of excellence and appreciation to a number of People of Determination including Ibrahim Elkholy for being the FIRST-EVER Research Assistant in Egypt and the Middle East. Upon receiving the trophy, Ibrahim gave a speech where he expressed his gratitude for recognizing his efforts and hard work over the years.

If you are new to the subject, here is what you need to know about Ibrahim Elkholy: The 24 years young man, graduated from Mass Communication, CIC – Canadian International College in May 2019. Upon his graduation, he was appointed to be a Research Assistant in October 2019.
