We are proud to announce that CIC attended the second annual conference of the pioneering training program “ICT Talent Bank/ iTB”


The conference was held on the 15th of February by Huawei Technologies. ICT Talent Bank (iTB) is a program made to fill the gap between the supply of qualified engineers and the demand of the fast paced ICT field.

The requirements in this advanced field such as AI, Cloud, IoT, Big Data, LTE, 5G , Security, and Networking are high and in order for fresh graduates to get hired in this job market, they need courses, certifications, and a certain level of knowledge and experience

to cope with and excel in the always-changing tech environment.


ICT Talent Bank (iTB) also aims to make Egypt the center of excellence & ICT Talents Hub in the region. Making this happen will help build a reliable bridge to connect the R&D to talents, and the talents to industries and enterprises.



The conference was held in attendance of 100 university leaders including CIC, Portsaid, 6 October, MSA. And more than 30 partners’ such as citex, Alandick, sigma, STS, Kolaly Technology, GTS, Toptech. In addition to recruiter company representatives, such as Telecom Egypt, Orange, Etisalat Misr, etc.

It gathered and awarded :

–  100 university leaders and instructors

–  40 partners and recruiter company representatives

–  Top 200 students


CIC was honored in the conference as one of the Top universities in this training program.

Our students Ahmed Gamal and Ahmed Mohamed Mabrouk were honored for their accomplishments and their hard work.

Our academic staff were also honored for their eagerness to bring such opportunity to CIC students. Dr. Sayed Abdel Gaber represented CIC in the conference and received the award.

Also Prof.Adel zaki , Dr. Essam Shaaban and Dr. Ahmed Elshamy honored us by their attendance.

Our hardworking, exceptional TAs Donia Ashraf And Sherouk Ahmed Abdelrehim were also honored as two of the top instructors for their extraordinary work in training 100s of students and helping them receive the certificates. They won the first prize for teaching the biggest number of students with the highest satisfaction level. Some of students already got their job offers even before graduating which was the main aim of Huawei’s program in the first place.


Huawei’s 2021 Plan!


During this event, Huawei announced iTB’s 2021 plan, and showcased the most important achievements of the program in 2020, which were carried out through prolific cooperation with various partners. Furthermore, the conference witnessed an important milestone which is the launch of the ITB website which is considered as a recruitment portal to connect the talents with the ICT industry recruiters in Egypt and the region. It is considered a learning portal for talents by offering Huawei updated courses and certifications serving Egypt and Arab Countries.


A group of Huawei’s officials were on stage briefing the audience about the previous and upcoming phases. Mr. Tim Zhou, CEO of Huawei Egypt Carrier Business,  Eng. Yousry Atlam, CEO of Huawei Academy in Egypt.

And the MC of the event was the talented and exceptional Khaled Habib. Engineer Ghada Labib, Deputy Minister of Communications for Institutional Development was present and gave a speech indicating that the idea of ICT Talent Bank is a significant idea, reflecting the importance of cooperation between government sector, the private sector and civil society institutions in line with Egypt 2030 vision nurturing digital talent in the ICT sector and enhancing employment opportunities and equipping them for future job requirements.


This isn’t the first time that CIC has joined a training program for the sake of increasing the practical knowledge of our students, we have actually made a collaboration with SAS Institute USA.
