The BIT program is designed to allow flexibility in course selection and program completion. This specialized approach coupled with the on-the-job experience acquired during the Co-op terms offers students a competitive edge upon graduation.
Students working to acquire a Bachelor of Business Information Technology degree will choose to specialize in their fourth year in either Network Management or Information Management.
Graduates of this program will have a solid understanding of modern business fundamentals, as well as the essential IT skills necessary for today's dynamic business world.
The BIT program prepares graduates for careers as system analysts, project leaders, programmers, network administrators, application support specialists, quality assurance coordinators and database administrators.
Current areas of study include Networking, PC Hardware, Operating Systems, Oracle, C++, System Analysis and Design, Java, Windows Server 2000, Visual Basic, Database Development, Internet Fundamentals, IT Project Management, IT Documentation and Information Systems.
